AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
☆ 1 year dance experience or 2+ years cheer or gymnastic experience
☆ Enrolled in 2nd-12th Grade for the 2026-2027 school year
☆ Positive attitude, strong work ethic & willingness to learn
☆ Filled out audition paperwork and registered for an audition time
WEEKLY HOURS
ATTENDANCE & EXPECTATIONS
Being on Company is a full-season commitment. Dances cannot be effectively rehearsed without every dancer present, and consistency matters for individual growth and for the team.
Stars dancers are allowed two unexcused rehearsal absences for the entire season. Excused absences include mandatory graded school events, illness with a doctor’s note, and relevant family emergencies. All other absences are at the discretion of EDC staff. Dancers who exceed the absence limit may be removed from Company for the remainder of the season and will be ineligible to compete with EDC the following year.
Accountability is vital. We expect dancers and families to commit to a season they can fully uphold not just when it’s easy, but when it’s challenging .Competitive dance is demanding. There will be moments that challenge, frustrate, and stretch our dancers. That’s part of the process. We expect dancers to honor their training, their teammates, and the team for the entire season.
