COMPANY DRESS CODE
Our dress code exists to support proper training, safety, and focus in the classroom. Fitted dancewear allows instructors to clearly see alignment and technique so corrections can be made effectively and safely. The right shoes and attire also help prevent injury and ensure dancers can move with confidence. A consistent dress code creates a polished, learning-oriented environment where dancers are ready to work and take class seriously.

Company dancers should arrive at rehearsal on time, stretched, and ready to dance.
Dancers should be dressed in all black with no writing or stripes (small logos are fine). A black leotard, tight-fitting athletic tank, or sports bra should be worn with black shorts or leggings. No baggy clothing, please. (Dance pants that are fitted at the ankle are acceptable.)
All dancers should bring every required pair of shoes to rehearsal. Hair should be pulled back securely in a ponytail, bun, or braid.

During Summer Training, regular class dress codes do not apply due to the schedule and length of the day.
Summer Training takes place the last week of July, Monday through Friday each year.
Stars: 8:30 AM–2:00 PM
All-Stars: 11:00 AM–5:00 PM
Rookies: Optional, 8:30–10:00 AM ($75)
Dancers should wear comfortable, well-fitting dance attire that allows them to move easily. For long days, we recommend dressing in layers — for example, a leotard or sports bra with a T-shirt, shorts with pants to layer over, etc.
Dancers should bring ballet shoes, jazz shoes or turners, and all required shoes for the season to Summer Training.
Hair should be pulled back securely in a ponytail, bun, or braid.

For convention weekends, dancers are required to arrive wearing a piece of EDC merchandise, this can be a jacket, jersey, T-shirt, etc. The same EDC merch should also be worn at the awards ceremony.
During convention classes, dancers should wear well-fitting dancewear they can move in easily. Convention outfits should be clean, put together, and something dancers feel confident in, as these are long, high-energy days.
Please pack layers such as extra shirts, hoodies, or pants for breaks and hip-hop classes. Dancers should also bring sneakers with socks and any dance shoes they may want to wear. (Socks often work best on carpeted convention floors.)
-
At competitions, when dancers are not performing (upon arrival, during breaks, and at awards), they must be dressed in studio colors: pink, black, grey, or white. Dancers should be in EDC colors/merch or in costume at all times.
Dancers must bring a studio jacket or jersey to wear over their costumes during waiting periods and when routines go directly into awards. No Christmas or themed recital merchandise from past years may be worn at competition.
Slip-on shoes that dancers can easily take on and off are recommended.
Shoe list will be posted by June 1st.
